Finding Inspiration: Day 8

Marbling takes its name from the way designs on marbled fabric can resemble the veins and ripples in marble stone. I teach a process known as sea weed marbling. A seaweed extract called carrageenan is used to create a thick syrupy water that the paint is floated on. Thus, the name, “seaweed marbling. I learned this process a few years back and I love it! I am always on the look out for cool visuals for marbling.

This visual is super cool illustration for marbling. I think it is oil paint on a different liquid. Well worth a look! marbling painting on the marbling base
